ONLINE COMMUNICATION

 WHAT IS SYNCHRONOUS LEARNING?

Synchronous learning is whereby people communicate in real time via chat or discussion software, with all the participants at their computers at the same time. Some examples are telephone conversation, company's meeting and group discussion.

Some of training materials and lessons include:

  • Visual images
  • Video conferencing
  • Audio conferencing
  • Text conferencing

WHAT IS ASYNCHRONOUS COMMUNICATION?

Asynchronous communication is whereby people communicate in a delayed fashion by a computer using programs such as email and the reading and writing of online documents via the World Wide Web.

Both styles help in managing tasks in life and have their own pros and contras. As for me, i prefer synchronous communication since it helps in avoiding misunderstanding, and it is easier to ask anything directly in order to have better understanding about the purpose of communication.

So, what say you?
